HOW KLICK3D WORKS

Sophisticated 3D.
Simple Access.

We take suitable 3D source material, optimise it for browser delivery, build the interactive experience and publish it through a link your customers can open and explore.

3D Assets → Browser Optimisation → Interactive Experience → One Link

THE BASIC IDEA

From a 3D Project to an Experience People Can Actually Open

Creating impressive 3D is only part of the challenge.

The next question is: how do you put that experience in front of customers, prospects and decision-makers?

High-quality 3D projects can be large, technically demanding and designed for powerful desktop hardware rather than straightforward browser delivery.

KLICK3D approaches the problem from the other direction.

What does the visitor actually need in order to experience, understand and interact with the project?

We then prepare and build the experience around that objective.

STEP 01

Start With What You Already Have

You do not necessarily need to start a KLICK3D project from zero.

Depending on the project, we can begin by reviewing existing source material and identifying what can be reused, adapted, optimised or rebuilt.

Unreal Engine Projects

Existing environments and project assets can be reviewed as a potential starting point for the browser experience.

3D Models

Suitable models from Blender, architectural visualisation, product visualisation and other 3D workflows can be assessed.

CAD & Design Assets

Architectural, property, yacht and product source material can contribute to building the required environment.

Plans & Drawings

Where a complete interactive project does not already exist, available plans and design information can help form the starting point.

Images & Video

Existing marketing media can be incorporated into the wider interactive presentation where appropriate.

Existing Sales Material

Product information, specifications, brochures and other sales content can help define what the experience needs to communicate.

The first stage is assessment.
We determine what already exists, what is useful and what the browser experience needs to achieve.

STEP 02

Prepare the Project for Browser Delivery

A high-end desktop 3D project is not automatically a browser-ready project.

Desktop real-time environments can contain geometry, textures, materials, lighting, effects and functionality designed around powerful local hardware.

Simply putting those files on a web server does not create a useful browser experience.

The project therefore needs to be assessed and prepared specifically for the way it will be delivered.

Browser optimisation is not simply about making a project smaller. It is about deciding what must be preserved, what can be simplified and what needs to be rebuilt for the target experience.

That can involve work on geometry, textures, materials, lighting, interactions, project structure and the assets used to construct the final experience.

KLICK3D BOSS™

Browser Optimisation Starts With the Experience

Our optimisation approach is built around the intended browser experience rather than blindly reducing everything by the same amount.

We refer to this approach as:

BOSS™

Browser Optimisation Strategy & System

A practical workflow for preparing 3D assets, environments and functionality for KLICK3D browser delivery.

The objective is to retain the visual and interactive elements that matter to the customer while making sensible decisions about the technical cost of delivering them.

Different projects therefore require different decisions.

A residential sales experience, yacht presentation, product configurator and large interactive development do not necessarily need the same balance of detail, interaction and performance.

STEP 03

Build the Interactive Experience

Once the project has been prepared, we build around what the visitor should be able to see, understand and do.

Explore Freely

Allow visitors to move through appropriate parts of the environment rather than following only a predetermined camera sequence.

Human Scale

Avatars or human-scale references can help visitors understand proportions and spatial relationships.

Navigation

Provide clear ways to move between important spaces, locations or areas of interest.

Information

Add hotspots, descriptions, specifications and other useful information where the visitor needs it.

Media

Incorporate suitable images, video and supporting sales material into the wider presentation.

Interaction

Project-specific functionality can be developed where it adds genuine value to the experience.

STEP 04

Publish the Experience Through the Browser

Once the experience is prepared and tested, it can be made available through a web link.

One Link. One Klick. Instant Access.

For appropriate KLICK3D deployments, the visitor does not need to install a large executable application, create an account or put on specialist VR equipment simply to begin exploring.

The experience can then be linked from websites, emails, digital presentations, social campaigns, QR codes and other appropriate customer touchpoints.

Send a Link

Share the experience directly with a prospect or stakeholder.

Use It on Your Website

Connect the interactive experience with your existing digital sales and marketing journey.

Use It in Campaigns

Give email, social and digital campaigns somewhere more engaging to send interested prospects.

MORE THAN A 3D VIEWER

Connect the Experience With the Sales Journey

KLICK3D should not sit on the internet as an isolated technical demonstration.

The interactive experience can form part of a wider sales, presentation or information journey.

Depending on the project, visitors can be directed towards the next appropriate action — requesting information, contacting a sales representative, viewing specifications, exploring related content or continuing to another part of the website.

Calls to Action

Connect interest inside or around the experience with a clear next step.

Sales Information

Bring relevant product, property, yacht or project information closer to the interactive presentation.

Existing Systems

Where appropriate, the wider KLICK3D journey can be designed to work alongside existing website, enquiry and sales processes.

DELIVERY OPTIONS

Desktop, Mobile & Responsive Presentation

Different devices have very different capabilities.

Rather than pretending that every device should deliver exactly the same experience, KLICK3D can use an appropriate presentation for the visitor and project.

Interactive 3D

Where the device and project are suitable, visitors can access the interactive browser-based KLICK3D experience.

Responsive Presentation

Mobile-friendly content can provide an accessible route to the project when a different presentation is more appropriate.

360° Experiences

Optimised 360° presentation can complement the full interactive environment and provide an additional lightweight viewing option.

The objective is practical access.
We choose the delivery approach around the project, audience and devices rather than forcing every visitor through one technical route.

UNDERSTANDING THE DIFFERENCE

What KLICK3D Is — and What It Isn't

KLICK3D can work alongside conventional digital media, but it is not simply another name for video, 360° photography or a downloadable desktop application.

Not Just Video

Video controls the camera and sequence. KLICK3D can give the visitor freedom to decide where they want to explore.

Not Just 360°

360° presentation is useful, but movement normally takes place between predetermined viewpoints. KLICK3D can provide a free-moving 3D environment.

Not a Large Download

The commercial objective is browser access rather than asking prospects to download and install a large desktop application.

Not VR-Dependent

The visitor does not need specialist VR equipment simply to access an appropriate KLICK3D browser experience.

Not a Replacement for Media

Photography, video, plans and specifications remain valuable and can work alongside interactive 3D.

KLICK3D

An interactive browser-based environment designed around exploration, understanding and a useful customer journey.

ALREADY HAVE A PROJECT?

Show Us What You Have

If you already have an Unreal Engine project, 3D models, CAD, architectural visualisation, yacht design or other suitable source material, you do not need to work out the browser-delivery process yourself.

Show us the existing project and tell us what you want your customers or stakeholders to be able to experience.

We can assess the material and discuss a practical route forward.
